Osteochondrosis is one of the most widely spread
diseases of the 20th century, appearing only less frequent than,
perhaps, acute respiratory diseases during the Spring-Autumn
period. Everyone at least once has experienced those unpleasant
painful sensations in one's back. Constraint, pain, "burning
sensations", lumbago: these are signs of this ailment. The human
spine is the basis of the whole body and it carries support,
motor, amortisation and protective functions. The
spine deals with these "duties" only due to the static and
dynamic (depending on the function) work of the muscles.
Sad as it is, from very early childhood our muscles are
subjected to overloading (uncomfortable school furniture,
improper bearing, maintaining the same position for prolonged
periods, uncomfortable beds, carrying heavy objects for long
periods, etc.) plus nervous stresses and unbalanced feeding: all
of this leads to an increase in muscle tone. Even at the age of
17-25, 80% of people have increased muscle tone, the muscles
develop hardenings of different size, latent painful points.
The longer the muscles stay under tension, the worse
their circulation and metabolic processes become. The
insufficient blood supply finally leads to the replacement of
the muscular tissue with scar tissue, which is specific for old
age: a premature ageing of the muscles occurs. When muscles age
at an accelerated rate, the load upon the discs, joints and
vertebrae sharply increases with all the inevitable consequences,
in a quite unpleasant manner. Thus the "ageing of the spine"
starts with a premature ageing of its active part: the muscles.
Is a person doomed to gradual and complete damage from
the disease? Not at all. A decrease in the muscle load and
correct treatment can give him back his full-fledged life.
Restoration of the disordered circulation at the level
of the smallest capillaries and relaxation of tense muscles can
be attained with the soft action of "Vitafon." And later
everything is in your own hands: it is necessary to protect
one's spine and to devote a few minutes every day to special
exercises (M. V. Deviatova, "No to Osteochondrosis!", Publishing
House "Komplekt", 1997).
"Vitafon" will help you not only to deal with an acute
relapse of an ailment, but also to have a good rest and to
recuperate after a tense working day.
